Local NEWS: The Bodoland is a territorial privilege established in India according to the Memorandum Of Settlement on February 10th 2003. It is a proposed state of India located in the extreme north bank of the Brahmaputra River in the state of Assam in the north east region of India by the foothills Bhutan & Arunachal Pradesh. The region consists of 4 contiguous districts - Kokrajhar, Baksa, Chirang & Udalguri - carved out of 7 existing districts - Bongaigaon, Barpeta, Nalbari, Kamrup, Darrang & Sonitpur - an area of 27,100 km2 (35% of Assam).

Bodoland can be called the store house of handloom designs because of the expertise & matchless intriguing patterns of designs. Handloom cloth is one of the richest & resilient medium of ethnic expressions & identity of the region.

"DOKHONA - a glimpse of the golden motif" is an honest endeavour for bringing recognition & acclaim to the rich & vibrant traditional motif of Bodoland & communicate to the people - the culture, tradition, flavour, diversity & the excitement of Bodoland. The event is aimed at creating a fashion event that'll foster regional & national fashion scenario & take it to the world to build a meaningful fashion trade whilst nurturing creative opportunities. The fashion show will assemble elite media, buyers & sellers, government officials, industry professionals & celebrities.
