A peep into the Bodo Mythology

History: The Kamakhya Temple which is the place of Ancient wisdom dedicated to the Mother Goddess was a ‘Bathou Thanshali’ of the Mongoloid Bodo People before and during the reign of Narkasur whose original Bodo name was Narkhw Budang, the king of the erstwhile Prajyotishpur Kingdom.

It’s proved that the Mongoloid Bodo people overrun the whole of present Assam long before the time of the compilation of the Hindu religious literature known as the Vedas. In the vedic literature the present Assam has been mentioned as ‘the land of Kirates’ with ‘Pragjyotispur’as the capital. In course of time that pragjyotispur later was known as Kamrup.From that fact it’s proved that ‘Prabate’ was originally goddess of Mongoloid Bodo people.Parbati was nothing but ‘Mainao Bwrai’ and later was absorbed into the main Hindu fold through imaginary Sati’s reincarnation theory of India.
