One Eye Animal: Cyclops

Bodoland G.K: Cyclops is a One Eye animal and its name is derived from Greek Mythological creature called Cyclops.The long antennae is situated near the top of the head to help in detecting the changing lights.  

“Cyclops individuals may range from ½–5 mm long and are clearly divided into two sections. The broadly oval front section comprises the head and the first five thoracic segments" 

                           Cyclops has 5 pairs of legs

Cyclops lives in fresh water; Cyclops has the capacity to survive unsuitable conditions by forming a cloak of slime. Average lifespan is about 3 months. This animal belongs to the same family as that of the shrimp and lobster.
