Promo: “Dau Huduni Methai” (Song of The Horned Owl)

Dear sir/ma'am,

Here we bring to you Winner of the 2015 National Award for Best Film in Bodo, the film “Dau Huduni Methai” (Song of The Horned Owl) which recounts the effects of insurgency and counter-insurgency on common folk through the perspective of Raimali, a young rape victim. As she lies in an abandoned house, she recalls how separatist violence mars her life, that of her lover and their families, contrasting its intrusive nature with indigenous folklore and the immutability of the Assamese landscape.

The film is directed by 7 time National Award winner and one of Assam's most eminent filmmakers, Ms Manju Borah. The film is produced by noted film distributor Mr Shankar Lall Goenka under the banner of Shiven Arts.

The producers are now gearing up for the film’s Assamese theatrical release on the 30th of December, 2016 and seek the support of the audiences here in Assam. We would be highly honored to see you all in the theaters.
