Sports: Two Boxers Lovlina Borgohain (69kg) and Pwilao Basumatary (64kg) won bronze medals at 70th Strandja Memorial Boxing at Sofia in Bulgaria on Monday.
Lovlina went down 1-4 against Nien-Chin Chen of Taipei and settled for bronze, while Pwilao Basumatary lost against Italy’s Valentina Alberti by 5-0.
In the quarter-final match of the event, Lovlina defeated Brazil’s Soarez Beatriz 5-0 on Sunday and assured the first medal for the women boxers of India.
