US Navy has tested high-energy laser that can wipe out small planes and drones at single strike

World NEWS: The US Navy has successfully able test a weapon that can fire mid air with high-energy laser to shoot small planes and drones in the sky. The test was conducted in the Pacific ocean it is going to be a major boost for the country.

Video and images released by military top brass shows the demonstration was conducted against a drone flying.

According to the report from the International Institute for Strategic Studies (2018) said it was expected to be a 150-kilowatt machine. Which can destroy drones and small boats with a single strike.

According to the navy," the weapon system is being developed due to “an increasing number of threats” that include drones, armed small boats, and adversary intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems. Although China was not mentioned, the fact the testing was carried out in the Pacific would appear to carry its own message."
