Historical drama Bodo film 'Sijou' has bagged four International prestigious awards

A historical drama Bodo film Sijou  has bagged four  International prestigious awards on following categories “Best Director”, Indian Feature Film, “Best Debut Filmmaker” of Feature Film”, “Best Screenplay Writer”, Indian feature film, and “Special jury award,” Indian feature film.

Beside this, Film is scheduled to be released by the end of  2021.

Film is directed by Vishal P. Chaliha, produced by National Award Winning Filmmaker Preeyam Kherkatary Chaliha and Omprakash Kherkatary and The cinematography is done by Ashutosh Kashyap, sound designing  is done by Debajit Changmai and music is composed by Dhrubajyoti Patgiri and also Jyoti Shankar Bhattacharyyaa is the art director.

The plot of the film revolved around a feudal land tenure system that was practice in Bhutan in the past.

The main protagonist of the film   is Sijou (Young Boy)  who lives near Saikhonguri, a village in Baksa which is situated  near the Indo-Bhutan border.

Main base line of the film is the boy Sijou (Young Boy)   who falls into the feudal land tenure system. Eventually becoming a monk in the end.
