Mona Basumatary from Guwahati has been selected for The U.S. State Department’s Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES)


Mona Basumatary who is pursuing in  12th standard in South Point School, Guwahati has been selected for The U.S. State Department’s Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program for the session 2021-22. Mona is among 40 students selected from India who has been selected for this session

The U.S Department’s YES program brings high school students from countries of strategic importance to the United States for one academic year.

 Participants attend an American High School, acquire leadership skills, and engage in activities to learn about U.S society and values, they also, help educate their fellow American students about their home country and culture, serving as “Youth Ambassadors” of their home country, promoting mutual understanding by forming lasting relationship with their host families and communities. This program is fully funded by U.S State Department.
