G.K: On 16th March, 1985, another associate organization of the Bodo
Sahitya Sabha known as the Bodo Writer’s Academy was established in Tipkai.
Monoranjan
Lahary, a litterateur was the first president and Janil Kumar Brahma was the
first secretary of the Academy.The main objective of the Academy was to widen
the scope of the Bodo language and literature by uniting all the Bodo writers
of the country.Since its formation, the Academy has been arranging a number of
seminars and discussions thereby enhancing the development of the Bodo language
and literature.
