The Demands put forward on Bodoland Issue





Bodoland G.K: Here are the 21 demands put toward jointly in

1. Create a separate state of Bodoland on the line of Telengana stae for the plains tribal of Assam in the north bank of the river Brahmaputra carving out of Assam.

2. Inclusion of Bodo Kacharis of Karbi-Anglong in to the state hill list.

3. Equal status to the Bodo Kacharis living in various Tribal Autonomous councils of Assam.

4. Protection of tribal lands from any kind of illegal encroachments by non-tribal including illegal infiltrators from neighboring countries,forceful occupation of lands by the government and transfer of any kind.

5. Special protection with special constitutional provisions to the Bodos throughout the country.

6. Setting up of central Bodo Language Promotion Bureau.

7. Raising Bodo regiment in the Indian Army.

8. Inner line permit.

9. Transform the missing Autonomous Council(MAC),Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council(RHAC)and Tiwa Autonomous Council(TAC) into Sixth Scheduled Autonomous Council s.

10. Setting up of  a Central University in Bodoland including one Tribal University.

11.Setting up of an Indian Institute of Technology.

12.Setting up Indian Institute of  Management.

13. Setting up of Medical Colleges and supper speciality Hospital in the line of AIMS and more number of Engineering Colleges,National School of Drama and National Institute of Fashion Technology & Designing.
14. Setting up of Hydel projects for power generation over the numbers of rivers like Sonkosh,Aie,Manas,Pagladiya,Dhansiri, Gai Nadi.

15. Setting up of various productive industries for the growth of economy and generation  employment avenues.

16. Setting up of Railway based industries.

17. Setting up of Airport for improving surface communication to boost up the growth of industry.Revival of Rupsi Airport of present Parbatjhora Sub-division of BTAD.

18. Setting up of an Agriculture University and Forest Training College.

19. Construction of National Highway along the Indo-Bhutan and proposed Bodoland-Arunanchal Pradesh Border.

20. Tribal Language and Cultural Research and Development Institute.

21. World Class Multi-purpose Stadium in Proposed Bodoland Area.
