Scientists from Japan developed a robotic face with living cells

Scientists at the University of Tokyo, Japan, have developed a robotic face with living skin cells attached to it.

Scientists made use of living skin cells to develop artificial skin in a laboratory. They then devised a new technique to attach this skin to the robotic face in a manner that would allow the face to move and emulate human expressions without damaging the skin. The artificial skin is soft and flexible and can repair itself.
